Rose Burke is the Event Coordinator for the Lander Chamber of Commerce. Rose also works with Washington State University, planning educational programming around local food systems, as well as helping produce LocalFest, an annual local food gathering in Wyoming. Prior to moving to Lander in 2013, Rose lived in the Pacific Northwest and Washington, DC, her home town. In DC she ran education programs for the Close Up Foundation, a civic education non-profit that brings high school students to the nation’s capital to learn about leadership and democracy. Rose received her BS from the University of Maryland and her Masters in Peace Education from American University in Washington, DC. Rose has lived in many countries around the world and is happy to call Lander home. When she is not gallivanting in the Wind River Mountains with her husband and son, she will most likely be found teaching yoga, riding her bike, or playing epic board games.
